It is true; courtesy is a form of currency. It pays to be pleasant to people. People respond favorably to those who are courteous and treat them with respect. The more pleasant you are, the more others want to do business with you. Courtesy counts in relationships, personal and professional alike. No one wants to do business with someone rude and inconsiderate. And if you are nice to people, they'll be nicer to you and will go out of their way to help you if they can.
